Papitos in Madison

Best Mexican food away from the border in a long time.

This is the only Papito's that I will go to. Never had a bad experience. Always friendly staff, good food, and consistent top notch customer service!

Value for Money. Food is little salty

We were pleasantly surprised with Papito's. To say we LOVE Mexican food is an understatement. Papito's didn't disappoint!!!! The Carnitas and the Tacos Al Adobe were PHENOMENAL! (As were the service and the margs!! 😊) This is going down as one of our new favs!!

This place has really great service they got my food fast

We were new customers but was very satisfied with the service, the host was polite and willing to assist , the cocktails were very well prepared and the food was piping hot on iron skillets, couldn't ask for more

Laid back, yet festive atmosphere! Great outdoor dining area--super for families with kids! Enjoyed live music (guitar player) on weekend evening...very nice.FOOD is great! Plenty of chips & salsa. They'll customize your dish upon request, too. Very nice folks!

Madison location..... First my date found a fly in her margarita. The bartender replaced it after 3 minutes of him trying to rescue it to examine I assume. You could clearly see that it was a fly. So we then order our food. After eating half of my fajita nachos I pick up a bite and a string of brown hair is stuck in the cheese. I was so disgusted. The gentleman sitting next to me at the bar saw all of this in action. I told the bartender and he then suggested that it was my dates hair and accused me of placing it there. REALLY??? How insulting!!!!! The hair was brown. My dates hair is black. Long story short. He laughed about it and the manager didn’t make it any better. I took a vow that night to never eat there again. If there were an option to not choose a star it would surely be my choice.

Papitos is just okay. It will be quick but nothing special to see here folks

I used to love this place. The food used to be so good. All of the dishes had this hardwater film on them. It has seriously gone down. I won't be going back.

Cool ambiance, the server was polite but when I ordered the chalupa lunch plate with beef there was almost no meet in it.. I meet literally 2or3very small pieces..it tasted good tho

I ordered carry out and the food came quickly considering I ordered a lot of food. The food was nothing special. I love good Mexican food. When I lived in Arizona, the Mexican food was amazing. It seems like all of the Mexican restaurants serve the same food. It all tastes the same. I'm looking for something better. Papito's is definitely not it.

My granddaughter and I went on a Sunday last minute choice. But must say I'm not a Mexican person but I do know good food and this was not it. The food was bland and greasy tortillas really a d a lady makes them to order. The food was not hot only warm microwaved I guess. I will never go again.

Good service and great food

I stopped in on the spur of the moment, got seated quickly, service was good. I ordered the shrimp and scallop combo, flavor was delicious, shrimp cooked just right, scallops just slightly overcooked but still good. I'll definitely go back.

Service was fine. Tea was good tea. Salsa was good/fresh salsa. The (pork) Mexicano burrito was tasty. Only issue was a detail with the order. I was expecting, like the menu described, grilled onions on top of the burrito along with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, etc. etc. The onions were absent. No big deal except that was one of the reasons I ordered the dish. I like grilled onions. Otherwise, the meal was good.

Wonderful!! We stopped by on our lunch break. This was my first time eating at this establishment & I was thoroughly impressed. The food was very fresh and was delicious! Beautiful scenery and we left completely stuffed! Definitely will be back!

Great food and customer service

P-5 SteakService was great, steak was very chewy. After chewing several pieces of fatty, stringy meat, I decided to take home to DOG. Worst meat I've had in Madison area. Rice and cheese were delicious though.

I ordered a couple tacos what I got was like two diapers. A picture is worth 1000 words, so take a look. Avoid this place you will thank Montezuma later.

I always have to hunt down a waiter when I am ready to pay. That is the only knock I can give this place when I dine in. The food is always great. I order it delivered from Waitr a lot. Great lunch menu!

I ordered the nachos papitos which came with ground beef,spicy chicken,tomatoes,lettuce,cheese and sour cream over chips. It was bland to me. No seasoning on the beef,and the chicken wasn't spicy.It was a pretty big serving and would have been great if it was seasoned properly.

For the first time ever I got Mexican to go and it was awesome! Everything traveled well and was fresh and piping hot when I made it home. Best fajitas ever, we will definitely be back.

Papitos is the best Mexican restaurant in Madison. Friendly staff, fresh food, and really great prices - especially at lunch. I recommend the chimichanga!
